chicken fried rice cauliflower Beef Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients

1. Basmati Rice - 2 cups
2. Beef - 300 gms (cleaned and cut into small pieces)
3. Corn Flour - as needed
4. Soy Sauce (marination) - 1 1/2 tbs
5. Pepper Powder - 1 tbsp.
6. Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp.
7. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.
8. Frozen Green Peas(Add any vegetables as needed)
9. Carrots
10. Beans
11. Capsicum
12. Chilli sauce - 3 tbsp.
13. Soy Sauce - 4 tbsp..
11. Salt - as needed

Method

1. Boil water in a pan and add rice. Cook the rice till 3/4th done. Drain the rice and move it to a tray and allow it to cool. It is recommended that you cook the rice one day in advance and refrigerate it. This would help the rice to stay firm while making the fried rice.

2. Marinate the beef with ½ of pepper powder,soy sauce,corn flour and salt.Use minimal cornflour as we just need a light coating for beef.

3. Heat oil in a pan.Add marinated beef.Turn heat to medium and fry the beef.Once fried move the beef into a separate bowl.

4. Heat oil in the same pan,add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a couple of minutes till it fried.Turn heat to high add beans and carrots.Keep stirring and add frozen green peas followed by capsicum.Sauté for a few minutes and add salt as needed, be careful while adding salt as the soy sauce which we will be adding later already contains salt.Add fried beef to the vegetables,saute for a couple of minutes.Add rice followed by soy sauce,chilli sauce and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Mix well.Add pepper powder as needed.Turn heat to high.Keep stirring for about 5 minutes till the rice is incorporated with the beef and the vegetables.Check seasoning add salt if needed.

Switch off the flame transfer to a serving dish, enjoy!!!
